New biturbo engine with significant performance improvement
Performance is improved significantly with the 911 Turbo S. Presently, the strongest six-cylinder boxer engine Online produces 478 kW (650 PS), which is 51 kW (70 PS) greater than its forerunner. Additionally, torque has grown to 800 Nm by 50 Nm.
The recently created device is based on the engine generation of the 911 Carrera. Not only was there a notable boost in performance, but the main goal of development was to use a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) in order to comply with the most recent emissions regulations. Enhancements in power, torque characteristic, emissions, reactivity, and revving ability were all among the objectives. This has been accomplished through the employment of piezo injectors, a newly designed charge air conditioning system, and larger, new VTG turbochargers arranged symmetrically with electrically controlled wastegate flaps.
A redesigned intake mechanism allows for forced induction in the six-cylinder engine. To do this, the process air and charge air cooling paths were reversed, with a portion of the process air now passing via the recognizable Turbo air intakes located on the back side portions. There are now two additional airflows through the rear lid grille, in front of the air filters, which are located in the rear wings. In order to improve engine efficiency, the Porsche 911 Turbo S features four intakes with a wider overall cross-section and less wind resistance
There are also two new symmetrical turbochargers with greater size and variable turbine geometry (VTG). The compressor and turbine wheels of Boxer engine Online now spin in the opposite directions; the 61 mm compressor wheel is now 3 mm larger, while the turbine wheels’ diameter has increased to 55 mm from 5 mm. The benefit of using stepper motors to electrically regulate the wastegate flaps is that they open fully and actively after a cold start, which causes the catalytic converters to light off earlier. Additionally, boost pressure control is more accurate and swifter.
